Chipotle Steak + Jasmine Rice

Steak finished with chipotle, over jasmine rice.
Ingredients
Sirloin Or Ny Strip Steak
1⅓ lb
Jasmine Rice
1⅓ cups
Chipotle Sauce
1 bottle
Olive Oil
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper

Rinse rice. Add 1½ cups water per cup of rice + salt. Boil, cover, low 15 min, rest 5 min, fluff.

Pull steak out 20 min early. Pat bone-dry, season generously with salt and pepper.

Cast iron screaming hot, 1 tbsp olive oil. Sear 4 min per side for medium-rare, flipping once.

Rest 5 min, then slice against the grain.

Drizzle chipotle sauce over the finished plate.
